The Trump Administration has rescinded the DACA program with a six month delay. It is now up to Congress to pass legislation that would preserve and extend the DACA program. As a member of Congress, I would sponsor and vote for stand alone legislation that maintained and extended the DACA program. I hereby challenge Mr. Fortenberry to issue a statement indicating he would support similar legislation.
Congress must act immediately to overturn Trump’s executive order and protect the Dreamers. Will Mr. Fortenberry support this kind of action? The time for obfuscation is over. We need answers.
