NDN: Candidate to speak at country club

Dennis Crawford, a candidate for the 1st District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, will be the guest speaker Thursday at a meeting of the Madison County Democrats.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at the Norfolk Country Club. The public is invited to hear Crawford speak.

A Lincoln attorney, Crawford will be seeking to be the Democratic candidate next year to face incumbent Rep. Jeff Fortenberry in the House race.

After graduation from law school, he returned to his hometown of Lincoln and has been practicing law in personal injury and workers compensation since 1986.

Since he began practicing law, Crawford has been active in the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, serving on its board of directors, political action committee and legislative committee.
